Great words by a great soul – “If God is in scripture, is He
not in the stone? … God dwells in all nature.”
But cultivating reverence for nature seems a mockery these days! Doesn’t
it?
We all mourn and groan in chorus. Lamenting about the slow
but sure destruction of the ecology has become our favourite pastimes. It is a
tragic irony that each one of us is contributing to this ‘for sure’ doom!
In this age of Kaliyug, our greed and hunger know no bounds.
Our ruthless and cruel hands have crippled the ‘Mother Nature’. I said ‘Mother
Nature’, but I doubt if we have any right to call ourselves Her children anymore!
She is paying hefty prices for this relation as we have mercilessly plundered Her
.
Many believe that the Third World War would be fought on the
issue of ‘Environmental Degradation’. The statement does not seem to be
exaggerated at all!! Man has proved to be the greatest villain of the nature by
irrationally murdering the stunningly beautiful landscapes, mountains, rivers,
forests and other countless nature’s gifts.
Correct aphorism,”What you sow, so shall you reap.” Now the
nature’s tolerance seems to be unfenced. The unbridled fury of nature is seen
in the form of natural calamities. Unquestionably, this is the culmination of
the transgression of Nature’s laws. And we and only we are to blame for these
disasters.
